We are looking for a full-time Controller to be part of the fastest growing public accounting firm located in our Parsippany, NJ office. We are flexible in the work schedule; hybrid.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Managing all the general accounting functions GL, A/P, A/R, Payroll, etc.
- Financial reporting
- Assist with tax return preparation
- Managing the accounting department and office personnel
- Assisting with preparation of the annual budget
- Ad hoc reports as needed for firm leadership
- Prepare reports and presentations that summarize and forecast firm’s business activity and financial position in areas of income, expenses, and earnings based on past, present, and expected operations.
- Coordinate the month-end and year-end closing process.
- Analyze cash flow and reports regularly to management.
- Assist in integrating merged in firms and tracking financial performance accordingly
- Works closely with CFO in performing analysis of the business, software/process upgrades, and KPI’s.
Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) in Accounting or Finance from a four-year college or university.
- 3 years related experience in the finance/accounting industry.
- CPA license preferred.
- Prior experience in an accounting or professional services firm is preferred.
- Microsoft Excel advanced skills preferred
- Power BI, Sage Intact experience preferred
