Weekend Barista & Bartender/ Cashier

Join our team as an Evening Bartender/ Weekend Barista. Sawyers is expanding to being open on Friday/ Saturday nights! In this role, you will be the friendly face greeting customers, crafting delicious non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages, and efficiently processing sales transactions. Your energy and attention to detail will create a welcoming atmosphere that keeps customers coming back. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in food service, beverage preparation, and retail sales in a bar type setting.
Duties
- Greet customers and provide exceptional service throughout their visit
- Prepare a variety of non-alcoholic beverages and alcoholic drinks, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks with precision and care
- Operate POS system to process retail sales transactions accurately and efficiently
- Handle cash, credit card payments, and process cash transactions with attention to detail and accuracy
- Maintain cleanliness of the café area by cleaning equipment, counters, tables, and food handling surfaces regularly
- Assist with food preparation tasks in accordance with food safety standards and food handling protocols
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly while maintaining quality standards
Qualifications
- Previous barista experience or café experience is preferred; knowledge of coffee preparation is a plus
- Experience with POS systems such as Square is desirable
- Ability to handle retail math accurately for cash handling and sales processing
- Ability to perform food handling tasks safely following food safety guidelines
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic math skills for processing transactions and managing cash registers confidently

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
