Boutique commercial real estate firm in Savannah, GA seeking seasoned Commercial Real Estate Paralegal to join our team.Experience:Significant title experience with searching and reviewing title is required.Familiarity with and understanding of ALTA surveys and legal descriptions is required.Knowledge of the technical aspects of corporate entity formation as well as the preparation and maintenance of corporate minute books.Understanding of the requirements of corporate authority for various transactions and the preparation of corporate documents to provide the necessary authority.Ability to draft closing documents such as deeds, mortgage releases, UCC’s, SNDAs, estoppel certificates and indemnity agreements.Must be proficient in the use of Word, Outlook and Excel. A paralegal certificate is preferred but not required.Primary Roles and Responsibilities:Review, understand, and analyze commercial real estate documents including leases, contracts, title abstracts and title exception documents, statutes and regulations.Work independently to search and review title, follow underwriting guidelines and title standards, review plats and surveys, and abstract leases.Draft title commitments, endorsements, title affidavits and closing documents, coordinate satisfaction of title requirements, and prepare financial closing statements.Prepare final title policies and endorsements, report policies and endorsements to title companies, enter data and maintain title policy tracking system, and calculate and remit payments to title companies.Establish new corporate entities, prepare organizational documents, maintain minute books.Prepare and obtain exhibits for corporate authority packages.Perform UCC and lien searches and review for status and priority.Coordinate with third party service companies to obtain services for clients.This is a new, full-time position with a competitive salary, benefits and an exceptional working environment.
