Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Under general supervision,
verifies travel orders to ensure authorization for personal and/or
family travel and movement of personal property; counsels members on
entitlements and responsibilities in accordance with regulations;
selects methods and modes of transportation. Establishes required
delivery dates; arranges for delivery and pickup of household goods and
personal effects. Verifies rates, shipment cost comparisons,
cancellation listings, etc., to determine discrepancies utilizing
current domestic and international rate solicitations. Processes
incentive payments and or reimbursements using the applicable government
rates in effect. Processes individual/family overseas travel and port
call requests. May process Commercial Group Moves via bus or air.
Validates Government credit card charges for services provided prior to
the submission of bills for payment. Creates and maintains files of
current property movements and passenger movements. Operates a computer
terminal and performs various clerical duties to assist other members of
the section. May conduct mass briefings. Additional duties may be
assigned as needed to meet company and departmental goals and
objectives.
