Managing Professional Land Surveyor

SAWTOOTH LAND SURVEYING, LLC is a Professional Surveying Firm established in 2009. We are currently seeking growth by adding an office in Pocatello, Idaho to our company.

Job Description of Managing Surveyor

The Professional Land Surveyor will support the project team by leading all aspects of a project, from project management, creating and monitoring project budget, maintaining project schedule, training and mentoring crew members as well as other team members, communicating with management, and assembling and managing project teams and progress, all under minimal supervision. In this role, an employee will be expected to develop and demonstrate proficiency within the following responsibilities and competencies.

Responsibilities

• Help establish and build a new office in Pocatello, ID
• Build, lead, and oversee surveying and technical teams delivering surveying projects.
• Establish, grow and strengthen client partnerships by delivering responsive, high-value surveying solutions that drive repeat work.

§ Perform survey activities such as: leveling, traversing, topographic mapping, construction layout, as-built surveys, boundary surveys, profile and cross section surveys.

• Expand business opportunities through networking, proactive client engagement, and proposal development.
• Contribute to: recruiting, development of staff, and ideas that ensure long-term organizational success.

§ Communicate with client, regulatory agencies, and general public as needed. This communication should be directly controlled by the project manager.

• Lead strategy execution, business growth, and daily operations for a new office location, to meet company goals and maintain profitability.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

§ Must currently hold an Idaho Professional Land Surveying License

§ A minimum of 10 years of experience required.

§ AutoCAD experience or similar programs

• The person in this role should have a sound understanding of local surveying codes and technical standards
