This position serves as administrator for certified payroll compliance. It is part-time job position to start with the ability to grow to a full-time position within the company management team. As a part-time position, benefits, including health insurance and a 401 (k), will be prorated but remain available. Vacation, paid time off, and holiday pay will also be prorated.
Job Duties include:
- Maintaining payroll compliance for all jobs
- Certified payroll reporting on multiple platforms
- Miscellaneous payroll tasks as needed by payroll and finance teams
A Day in the Life of this Position:
This person would ideally work Thursday, Friday, and Monday with typical office hours being 8-4 with an unpaid lunch. However, there is flexibility within these days and hours. The office team in this company is highly collaborative and works to address issues and solve problems together as they arise. In the role as certified payroll specialist, you would work directly with the payroll and finance team along with communication with project managers and employees to maintain payroll compliance for all jobs the company is apart of. You would work off of multiple payroll reporting platforms, including LCP Tracker, L&I, Elation, EMars, and manually through Excel. You would also maintain all payroll reporting compliance required by jobs outside of the average certified payroll report.
Education and Experience
Required:
2 years of payroll or office experience is preferred.
Working knowledge of basic accounting principles, payroll practices, and payroll software.
Ability to effectively handle and communicate confidential information.
Strong attention to detail.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Experience and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and QuickBooks.
Ability to work independently.
Knowledge of state and federal employment laws.
The ability to work through complex problems in cooperation with others.
