What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inventory Rail Supervisor position at Sawtooth Caverns, LLC?
Responsibilities:
· Supervisory role for a team of logistics and inventory specialists. This position will require collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless logistical operations and being a liaison to customers.
· Focus on external communications (customers/all Railroads) and support the team’s coordination for the en-route pipeline of railcars/trucks.
· Develop and maintain positive customer relationships by providing creative solutions.
· Manage customer nomination processes, and inventories, collect order fill data, and send weekly order inventory reports to customers that track their product movements.
· Review Sawtooth performance with customers against nomination targets or benchmarks.
· Liaison with Business Development and customers on customer nominations/allocations or en-route pipeline issues.
· Follow all company procedures related to inventory control or other areas that affect inventory, as well as report any deviations or Inventory issues that may occur.
· Analyze inventory data to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
· Manage all BOLs from beginning to end, ensuring accuracy and consistent customer communication throughout entire process.
Qualifications:
· Previous rail and petroleum logistics experience is a plus. (crude oil, NGLs, Refined Products).
· Strong understanding of rail operations and inventory control principles.
· Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role is preferred.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Excel/Word/Outlook).
· Familiarity with Transportation Management Systems or other 3rd Party logistics services.
Experience/Education
· 2 years’ work experience in the industry preferred.
· High school diploma is required.
· Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
This position is located at our terminal in Delta, Utah, and is a full-time onsite position.
