Technical Support Specialist I

SawStop is seeking a Technical Support Agent to join our call center team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys helping people, solving problems, and learning woodworking products in a structured, supportive environment. You'll be the first point of contact for customers and play a key role in delivering a positive SawStop experience. SawStop is committed to building a diverse and inclusive workplace where everyone feels valued and supported. 



Schedule & Work Arrangement 

  • Fulltime 
  • Hybrid role (mix of onsite and remote work) 
  • Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM 
  • No weekends 
  • 10 Holidays per year



What You'll Do 

  • Serve as a frontline call center agent, handling a high volume of inbound customer calls, chats, and emails 
  • Provide basic technical troubleshooting using established playbooks, and documented procedures 
  • Support the full range of SawStop equipment, including saws and accessories 
  • Accurately document customer interactions and troubleshooting steps in our case management system 
  • Deliver empathetic, professional service with a strong focus on customer satisfaction (CSAT) 
  • Follow defined processes while knowing when to escalate issues appropriately 
  • Collaborate with teammates and technical specialists to resolve customer concerns efficiently 



What We're Looking For 

Required / Core Skills 

  • Call center experience w/CRM
  • Ability to lift 20lbs regularly and get hands on with a saw
  • Excellent verbal communication and active listening 
  • Genuine empathy and a customer first mindset 
  • Comfortable handling heavy phone volume throughout the day 

Interest in or experience with woodworking 

  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) 



Nice to Have 

  • Mechanical or electrical aptitude - or a strong desire to learn 
  • Curiosity about how products work and why issues occur 
  • NetSuite CRM 
  • Multilingual abilities are a plus
