Job Summary

Our specialized cardiology department is dedicated to diagnosing and treating heart conditions in animals, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to our patients and supporting our veterinarians in delivering exceptional medical services. Duties
- Assist veterinarians in performing cardiology-related diagnostic tests, including echocardiograms, electrocardiograms (ECGs), Holter monitor placement/removal, x-rays, and blood pressure measurements.
- Administer medications and perform treatments as prescribed by the veterinarian.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, including heart rate, respiratory rate, and blood pressure.
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records for each patient.
- Collaborate with other veterinary staff to ensure support, compassionate, and comprehensive patient care.
- Utilize aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile environment during procedures.
- Restrain animals safely and effectively for examinations and treatments.
- Provide pet care education to clients regarding nutrition, training, and general health.
- Monitor anesthesia during surgical procedures and recover patients post-operatively.
- Participate in continuing education and training to stay current with advancements in veterinary cardiology.
Requirements
- Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT), Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) or equivalent certification, are welcome, but not required.
- Previous experience in a veterinary clinic or hospital, preferably with a focus on cardiology or internal medicine.
- Proficiency in veterinary terminology and understanding of animal anatomy.
- Experience with animal restraint techniques and handling.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Anesthesia setup and monitoring skills.
- Strong communication skills to interact with clients and team members professionally.
- A genuine passion for animal welfare and commitment to providing excellent pet care.
- Reliable transportation to travel between our satellite locations.

Pay: $22.50 - $23.50 per hour
