Responsibilities
- Operate processing equipment in accordance with OSHA regulations, HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point), and CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices) standards to ensure product safety and quality.
- Assist in the production, packaging, and labeling of products, adhering to established procedures and safety guidelines.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas by following strict sanitation protocols to prevent contamination.
- Conduct routine inspections of machinery and equipment, performing basic mechanical troubleshooting when necessary to minimize downtime.
- Support safety initiatives by monitoring for potential hazards, documenting processes accurately, and following proper sanitation procedures.
- Use basic math skills for measurements, portioning, and quality checks during production runs.
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely to move raw ingredients or finished products within the plant.
Experience
- Prior experience production, manufacturing, or a related production environment is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations, HACCP principles, CGMP standards, and safety practices is highly desirable.
- Mechanical knowledge or experience with machinery maintenance is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and safety standards.
- Basic math skills for measurements, weights, and quality assessments are essential
