Duties
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on mechanical systems, and electrical equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot complex issues using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools to identify root causes swiftly.
- Conduct appliance repair and installation across various operational areas, ensuring safety standards are met or exceeded.
- Maintain mechanical systems by replacing worn parts, calibrating equipment, and upgrading components as needed.
- Support construction projects or upgrades by assisting with installation of new machinery or infrastructure improvements.
- Manage maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) supplies to ensure availability of necessary parts while minimizing downtime.
- Document all maintenance activities accurately in logs or computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) for accountability and future reference.
Experience
- Proven experience as a service technician or maintenance mechanic with a strong background in mechanical systems repair.
- Demonstrated ability to read schematics, technical diagrams, and blueprints for troubleshooting and repairs
- experience or background working with mechanical systems in industrial or commercial settings is preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with hands-on experience in equipment repair and preventive maintenance routines.
- Leadership qualities that enable effective teamwork and the ability to guide junior technicians when necessary.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to maintenance tasks to minimize operational disruptions.
