Job Summary
Provides coordinated, high-quality nursing care using the nursing process. Responsible for managing an assigned group of patients, supervising support staff, coordinating with interdisciplinary teams, and ensuring safe, evidence-based care. Utilizes strong critical-thinking, autonomy, and clinical judgment in a high-acuity ED environment.
RequirementsExperience
- Recent ED experience required
- Minimum: 2 years
- Preferred: 3 years
- Acute-care facility experience preferred
Education
- BSN preferred
Licenses & Certifications
- Active RN license – CA (Required)
- BLS (Required)
- ACLS (Required)
- PALS (Required)
Essential Functions
- Collect and interpret patient assessment data
- Develop and implement tailored care plans
- Evaluate patient response and adjust interventions
- Promote a safe, healing care environment
- Provide patient/family education and collaborate on care planning
- Participate in discharge planning
- Delegate appropriately to team members
- Perform other related duties as assigned
