Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Medical Social Worker to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive psychosocial support, assessment, and counseling services to patients across various settings, including inpatient, outpatient, hospice, and community care.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to identify psychosocial needs and develop individualized care plans.
- Provide clinical counseling services including mental health counseling, behavioral therapy, and psychotherapy tailored to patient needs.
- Assist patients and families with coping strategies related to chronic illness, terminal conditions, addiction, dementia, PTSD, or developmental disabilities.
- Facilitate group therapy sessions and support groups for various patient populations.
- Coordinate care through case management, ensuring seamless integration of medical and social services.
- Collect data for clinical research studies related to behavioral health or social work interventions.
- Work with diverse populations including children, seniors, individuals with autism or developmental disabilities, Alzheimer’s disease patients, and those requiring dementia or post-acute care.
Requirements
- Oregon LMSW (Masters level Social Worker) or CSWA (Clinical Social Work Associate) licensure required.
- BLS required.
- This position requires the use of the employee's personal automobile.
- Experience as a social worker in a hospital or medical setting preferred.

Pay: $2,246.00 - $2,302.00 per week
