What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Manager position at Sawdust Studio?
About Us
Sawdust Studio is a 34-person custom cabinetry and architectural millwork company based in Dripping Springs. We build high-end work for demanding clients and we're growing. We're looking for someone who wants to grow with us.
The Role
You'll own the business side of our projects -- budgets, schedules, billing, change orders, and client communication. You don't need to know how cabinets are built. You need to know how to run a project, protect a margin, and keep things moving.
This is a ground-floor opportunity for someone sharp and motivated who wants real ownership and room to grow into a senior role.
What We're Looking For
- Exceptionally organized -- you track everything and nothing falls through the cracks
- Strong with numbers -- budgets, variances, and billing schedules come naturally to you
- Budget-conscious -- you notice when costs drift and you act on it early
- Clear communicator -- comfortable in conversations with clients, contractors, and vendors
- Self-starter -- you don't wait to be told what needs attention
Qualifications
- 2 years of project management, operations, finance, or related experience
- Proficient in Excel or Google Sheets; comfortable learning new software
- Experience with Innergy ERP is a major plus
- Construction or trade industry experience is a plus, not a requirement
- Bachelor's degree preferred
Compensation
Starting at $60,000, commensurate with experience, plus performance-based incentives tied to project margin and billing goals.
