We are seeking an experienced and motivated Pipe Crew Foreman to lead underground utility and process piping installation for the construction of a wastewater treatment plant. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, extensive experience operating heavy equipment, and the ability to read and interpret construction blueprints and specifications.
The Pipe Crew Foreman will be responsible for overseeing daily field operations, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to project plans and schedules.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate pipe crew activities on wastewater treatment plant construction projects.
- Read, interpret, and implement construction blueprints, site plans, specifications, and grade stakes.
- Operate heavy equipment as needed, including excavators, loaders, backhoes, and other construction machinery.
- Ensure proper installation of underground utilities, force mains, gravity sewer systems, process piping, and related infrastructure.
- Monitor crew productivity and maintain project schedules.
- Enforce company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
- Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, inspectors, and subcontractors.
- Conduct daily safety meetings and job site inspections.
- Identify and resolve field issues while maintaining quality standards.
- Track labor, equipment usage, and daily production reports.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in underground utility construction, pipe installation, or wastewater treatment plant construction.
- Previous experience as a Foreman or Crew Lead preferred.
- Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction drawings.
- Strong experience operating heavy equipment.
- Knowledge of wastewater treatment plant infrastructure and utility systems.
- Understanding of grades, elevations, and layout requirements.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- OSHA certification preferred.
- Valid driver's license required.
