Restaurant: Host/Cashier; Dishwasher, Kitchen Helper

Overview

We are looking for friendly, organized, and energetic individuals to join our team in multiple roles including Host/Cashier, Dishwasher, and Kitchen Helper. Must be at least 16 years old and live in Kitsap County. No public transportation is available. Work is dinner shift, start at 3:30pm to approximately 9:30 pm. Must be available 3 to 5 days/week, including some weekends and holidays. Schedule arranged with owner. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring they feel welcomed and valued from the moment they arrive. Whether managing reservations, handling payments, or supporting kitchen operations, you will play a key role in creating a positive dining experience. All positions are paid and ideal for those passionate about hospitality and food service.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage restaurant reservation systems to ensure smooth seating flow.
• Answer phone inquiries with professional phone etiquette, providing information about wait times or reservation details.
• Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Micros POS to process payments accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain cleanliness in dining areas and assist with dishwashing duties to uphold food safety standards.
• Support kitchen staff by helping with basic food prep and ensuring kitchen sanitation standards are met.
• Manage guest relations by addressing questions or concerns promptly and courteously.

Experience

• Previous experience as a host/hostess or in food service is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
• Familiarity with restaurant reservation management and POS systems such as Micros POS is a plus. but training will be provided.
• Strong communication skills, including phone communication and guest interaction, are essential. Fluent in English.
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
• Knowledge of food safety practices and hospitality standards will support your success in this role.
• Organizational skills are important for multitasking effectively during busy service periods.

Pay: From $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 18.0 – 30.0 per week
