BAR MANAGER / BARTENDER/FOH Lead

Sawa Hibachi is seeking a flexible, high-energy Bar Manager / Bartender/ FOH Lead under new ownership. This is a true multi-hat position. You will primarily manage the bar and actively bartend, while also jumping in to wait tables, handle to-go orders, and host as needed.

This role has a clear path to grow into FOH Manager for the right person who demonstrates strong leadership, reliability, and an ownership mindset.

Key Responsibilities:

•       Manage all bar operations: inventory, ordering, cost control, cleanliness, and standards

•       Actively bartend during peak shifts and create/promote drink specials and happy hour

•       Train and support bar and FOH team members

•       Step in to wait tables, run food, or assist with guest service when needed

•       Handle to-go order packing, accuracy, and guest/delivery handoff

•       Host and manage the door/reservations during slower periods or as coverage requires

•       Support overall floor flow, guest experience, and team communication

•       Open/close the bar and assist with side work and closing duties

Requirements:

•       Strong bartending skills and knowledge of cocktails, beer, wine, and spirits

•       Previous bar leadership or shift-lead experience preferred

•       Willingness and ability to wear multiple hats (bartend, serve, host, pack to-go)

•       Excellent guest service, communication, and multitasking skills

•       Reliable, flexible, and available evenings, weekends, and holidays

•       Alcohol service certification (or ability to obtain quickly)

•       Positive attitude and team-first mindset

•       Interest in growing into a broader FOH leadership role
