Project Summary & Overview
We are seeking a Senior Technical Business Analyst with expertise in Microsoft Dynamics 365 to support a large-scale Product Management Transformation initiative. This project focuses on optimizing enterprise systems and services to enhance operational efficiency and service delivery, with Dynamics 365 at its core.
In this role, you will engage with stakeholders across business and technical teams to understand requirements, identify gaps, and help shape effective solutions within the Microsoft Dynamics 365 platform. While the role requires a strong technical orientation, it does not require software development skills. Instead, the focus is on translating business needs into actionable technical requirements and ensuring alignment between business processes and technical capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
Business Requirements Gathering
Engage with business stakeholders to collect, analyze, and document detailed business and functional requirements related to Dynamics 365 functionality.
Gap Analysis & Process Optimization
Conduct gap analyses between current and future states, identifying opportunities for improving business processes through Dynamics 365 solutions.
Functional Specification Development
Translate business requirements into user stories, functional specs, workflows, and use cases for technical implementation teams.
System Configuration Support
Work closely with technical teams to validate and support system configurations, workflows, forms, and business rules within Dynamics 365.
Data Mapping & Integration Support
Assist in data mapping exercises to support integration of Dynamics 365 with other systems; demonstrate familiarity with APIs and data flow concepts.
Testing & Validation
Collaborate with QA teams to define test cases, support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and ensure that solutions meet defined business requirements.
Stakeholder Collaboration
Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure clear communication and mutual understanding of deliverables.
Training & Adoption
Support user training and system adoption efforts through documentation, workshops, and troubleshooting.
Reporting & Insights
Utilize Power BI and native Dynamics 365 tools to create reports and dashboards that provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
Continuous Improvement
Facilitate retrospectives and stakeholder feedback sessions to drive ongoing improvements in solution design and business processes.
Required Skills and Experience
Microsoft Dynamics 365 Proficiency
Hands-on experience with Dynamics 365 CRM and/or ERP modules, including configuration, workflows, security roles, and dashboards.
Business Process Analysis
Strong analytical skills to map and optimize business processes using platform features and low-code tools.
Data Integration Familiarity
Understanding of data models, basic SQL concepts, and proficiency in working with APIs and integration scenarios (not coding).
Power Platform Experience
Experience using Power Platform tools such as Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI to extend and enhance Dynamics 365 capabilities.
Technical Documentation
Ability to create user stories, functional specifications, process flows, and visual documentation using tools like Visio or Lucidchart.
Agile Methodology Experience
Comfortable working in Agile environments, participating in sprint planning, grooming sessions, and using tools like Azure DevOps or Jira.
Testing & UAT
Experience in defining and coordinating UAT processes, identifying bugs, and validating fixes.
Training and Support
Ability to deliver system training and support documentation tailored to business users.
