Land Development Project ManagerJob Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Land Development Project Manager to oversee all aspects of land development projects, from initial planning and design through construction completion. This role requires a strong technical background in civil engineering principles, with a specific emphasis on the ability to interpret, review, and manage grading and site plans to ensure projects are completed efficiently, safely, and in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan Review and Interpretation:
  • Review and interpret complex civil engineering plans, including detailed grading site plans, utility layouts, stormwater management, and erosion control plans.
  • Provide technical leadership and quality assurance (QA/QC) for design and documentation to ensure work outputs meet client and company requirements.
  • Perform on-site inspections and work closely with contractors and surveyors to ensure the work meets the approved plans, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Project Management:
  • Manage all phases of land development projects, including planning, design, permitting, and construction coordination.
  • Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and cost estimates, tracking progress and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Coordinate project teams, including internal staff, architects, engineers, consultants, and contractors.
  • Compliance and Coordination:
  • Ensure all projects meet local, state, and federal requirements, zoning ordinances, and environmental regulations.
  • Liaise with municipal inspectors, utility providers, and government agencies to secure necessary permits and approvals.
  • Oversee and ensure compliance with all grading, erosion, and sediment control (GESC) measures.
  • Communication and Leadership:
  • Serve as the primary client contact, fostering strong relationships and ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Lead project meetings and provide clear communication and coordination among all project stakeholders.
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and design staff.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in land development design and project management, preferably in residential or commercial development.
  • Licensure: Active Professional Engineer (PE) license is strongly preferred.
  • Skills:
  • Proficiency with design software, including AutoCAD Civil 3D, for site design, grading, and utility layouts.
  • Strong understanding of site layout, utilities, grading, drainage, and permitting processes.
  • Proven ability to read, analyze, and interpret engineering drawings and documents.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Working knowledge of local codes, inspections, and permitting processes.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $50,209.17 - $75,000.00 per year
