Supporting health-related social needs (HRSN) services to address barriers to care.

About the Role :

We are seeking an experienced, results-oriented leader to join a team of professionals dedicated to improving the Medicaid program with a focus on approaches to reduce health disparities, advance quality and health equity for overall populations, and support the delivery of HRSN services. The Director, Regional Needs Assessment and Planning will oversee all aspects of relationship building and information sharing with our diverse stakeholders. You will leverage your expertise in health equity, community engagement, and communication strategies to drive collaboration and ensure the voices of stakeholders are reflected in deliverables. The director will work with internal and external partners to facilitate regional needs assessment and planning activities that will result in the publication of regional health equity plans.

Key Responsibilities :

Engage with Stakeholders : Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy, fostering strong relationships with internal and external partners, including community members, healthcare providers, health plans, and community-based organizations. Lead the coordination of convenings, facilitating productive dialogue and consensus-building among diverse stakeholders.

Manage Network : Manage a network of internal regional liaisons and external subcontractor partners, ensuring effective collaboration and information exchange across all levels.

Assess Regional Needs : Oversee the development of regional needs assessments and gap analyses.

Produce Health Equity Plans : Oversee the production and publication of regional health equity plans.

Collaborate on Statewide Plan : Collaborate on the production and publication of a statewide health equity plan.

Oversee Stakeholder Portal : Oversee the completion and deployment of a stakeholder-facing portal to share information, facilitate convenings, and gather information from stakeholders.

Develop Online Communication Strategies : Oversee the development and implementation of online communication strategies, including social media platforms and other digital outlets, to connect with stakeholders and share information effectively.

Required Qualifications :

Experience : Minimum of 8 years of experience in stakeholder engagement, community outreach, or a related field.

Health Equity Advocacy : Demonstrated experience in health equity advocacy and incorporating a health equity lens into work.

Facilitation Skills : Proven ability to facilitate large group discussions and build consensus among diverse stakeholders.

Online Community Building : Expertise in online community building through social media and other digital communication channels.

Communication Skills : Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.

Writing and Editing : Excellent writing and editing skills.

Project Management : Demonstrated ability to lead and manage people and projects on time and within budget.

Preferred Qualifications :

Educational Background : Master's degree preferred in public health, communications, healthcare administration, public policy, social work, or a closely related field (additional professional or lived experience could substitute for an advanced degree).
