We are a brand new, chef-driven dining experience offering culturally diverse plates inspired by Wisconsin’s seasonality alongside attentive service in a relaxed atmosphere. With seating for approximately 80 guests and a curated selection of beer and wine, we strive to deliver a memorable dining experience every time.
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Front of House Manager to lead our FOH team and ensure smooth daily operations. The ideal candidate is hands-on, service-driven, and skilled in team leadership, customer service, and daily floor management. You’ll be responsible for ensuring that guests receive outstanding hospitality from the moment they walk through the door until they leave. With this being a start-up you may even be asked to jump in to any number of the FOH roles to help ensure a smooth operation so adaptability and experience are necessary for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily FOH operations to ensure excellent service and a welcoming guest experience
- Manage, schedule, train, and support FOH staff (hosts, servers, bussers, etc.)
- Lead pre-shift meetings and ensure team communication is clear and consistent
- Maintain a visible presence on the floor, addressing guest concerns promptly and professionally
- Coordinate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely and accurate service
- Monitor cleanliness, presentation, and atmosphere of the dining area
- Manage reservations and guest flow effectively
- Assist with inventory and ordering of FOH supplies (e.g., serviceware, cleaning supplies)
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and alcohol service regulations
- Maintain POS systems and handle basic troubleshooting or reporting
- Assist with hiring and onboarding of new FOH team members
- Provide regular feedback to staff and promote a positive, team-oriented work environment (Including sitting in on quarterly performance evaluations)
Qualifications:
- Previous FOH management experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Strong leadership and team-building skills
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- Professional, warm, and guest-focused demeanor
- Comfortable with basic POS systems and scheduling software
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Knowledge of beer and wine service is a plus
- Punctuality
- Must have or be willing to obtain local food handler and alcohol service certification(s) (ie: ServSafe)
