Job Description:
Savino & Miller Design Studio is seeking a Temporary Studio Coordinator to join our team in North Miami, Florida and work from September 01 through December 31st, 2024. The individual’s role is to help us coordinate everyday administrative aspects of the office while our existing Studio Coordinator is out of the office on maternity leave. Although a degree in Landscape Architecture is not required, this would be an excellent opportunity for a talented, self-motivated recent Landscape Architecture graduate to gain experience in the field.
Office Coordination
· Research and respond to public and private Requests for Qualifications and Request for Proposals
· Represent the design studio at Pre-Bid Meetings and other related meetings
· Prepare Award and Competition submission packages, with written project narratives
· Help in Managing social media content and website
· Occasional event planning
Project Coordination
· Assist design staff and principals on the firm’s design projects: Project list, timelines, deadlines, staff assignments
· Create project presentations, reports, and community workshop materials, when required
· Administrative project coordination, including meeting invites, contract execution, etc.
Administration
· Request Certificates of Insurance for contractual insurance compliance
· Maintain various certifications with government entities (Small Business Enterprise, Minority/Woman-Owned Business, etc.)
· Maintain office supply levels
· Manage computer program licenses
· Office logistics and technical support
· Become a certified Notary Public a plus
· Be proactive to identify areas of improvement to create more efficient workflow processes
Qualifications
To be considered for this role, the Design Studio Coordinator background should include:
- US Citizenship, Residency or Work Permit is required
- Knowledge of Adobe In-Design, Word, Excel andPowerPoint a
- Knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, SketchUp, and/or AutoCAD a plus
- Excellent Communication Skills (Written and Verbal)
- Self-disciplined and self-motivated
- Creative, curious, and strategic thinker
- Spanish language skills a plus
- Team player
- Understanding and/or interest in the fields of design, architecture/landscape architecture or planning a plus
