Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment such as loaders, excavators, forklifts, front loader trucks, roll-off trucks, garbage trucks, and sanitation vehicles to move and organize materials efficiently.
- Sort items accurately based on size, type, or destination to streamline packing and shipping processes.
- Pack products securely using appropriate techniques to prevent damage during transit.
- Conduct cleaning and sanitation of work areas regularly to maintain a safe and hygienic environment.
- Assist with loading and unloading materials using heavy equipment, ensuring proper handling and safety protocols are followed.
- Perform routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any maintenance needs promptly.
- Follow safety guidelines diligently during all operations involving heavy machinery and manual handling tasks.
- Break down full pallets and sort them into other pallets by category.
Experience
- Prior experience operating heavy equipment such as loaders, excavators, forklifts, or sanitation trucks is highly preferred.
- Experience in manufacturing or warehouse environments is advantageous.
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to heavy lifting and equipment operation is essential.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including heavy lifting and prolonged standing throughout shifts.
