Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Nursing to join our healthcare facility. As the Director of Nursing, you will be responsible for overseeing the nursing department and ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care. This is a leadership position that requires strong clinical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to effectively manage a team. Responsibilities: - Provide leadership and direction to the nursing staff, including nurses, nurse managers, and other healthcare professionals - Develop and implement nursing policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices - Monitor and evaluate the quality of patient care provided by the nursing staff - Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans - Ensure that resident rights are respected and upheld at all times - Oversee the documentation review process to ensure accuracy and completeness - Stay updated on current trends and advancements in nursing practice and incorporate them into the organization's policies and procedures - Manage staffing levels to ensure adequate coverage and optimal patient care - Provide supervision, guidance, and support to nursing staff in their professional development Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master's degree in Nursing or Healthcare Administration preferred - Current valid nursing license - Minimum of 5 years of experience in nursing, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role - Strong knowledge of physiology, acute care, home health, Medicare regulations, and nursing administration - Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team - Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal - Proficient in documentation review and quality improvement processes We offer competitive compensation packages including benefits such as medical insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, and professional development opportunities.
