Role Description
This is a part-time, flexible-schedule role for a Corporate Lawyer supporting Savile Nexus LLC in Miami, FL (Brickell). The Corporate Lawyer will manage legal matters related to contracts, regulatory compliance, and corporate governance for a company engaged in consulting and nutritional supplement distribution, including import-related matters (e.g., FDA Food Facility Registration and labeling for products manufactured abroad). Schedule is need-based, ranging from approximately 1 to 3 on-site or virtual sessions per week depending on workload. Key responsibilities include drafting and reviewing contracts, advising on legal and regulatory compliance (including FDA/import requirements), negotiating agreements, and supporting corporate documentation. The role requires close collaboration with internal departments (finance, operations) and external advisors (accountants, customs brokers) to ensure operations align with applicable laws and regulations.
Qualifications
- Expertise in Corporate Law, Contracts Law, and Business Transactions
- Proficiency in Negotiation, Drafting Contracts, and Legal Documentation
- Knowledge of Regulatory Compliance and Risk Management, ideally including FDA/import or food and supplement regulations
- Strong Analytical, Problem-Solving, and Strategic Thinking skills
- Exceptional Written and Verbal Communication skills (bilingual Spanish/English a plus)
- Ability to work independently with a flexible, part-time/on-call schedule
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
- Active membership in the Florida State Bar, in good standing
- Experience advising small businesses or startups, and/or with mergers, acquisitions, and corporate restructuring, is a plus
- Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
