Job Description – EHS Manager
SAVI EHS is seeking an experienced Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) professional to lead safety operations on an active construction project in the Goodyear, AZ area. The ideal candidate will have strong experience managing construction safety programs in fast-paced environments and possess professional safety credentials such as OSHA 30, OSHA 510, CHST, STSC, ASP, GSP, CSP, or equivalent.
This role will work closely with project leadership, subcontractors, and client representatives to ensure compliance, drive proactive safety initiatives, and promote a strong site-wide safety culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee Environmental, Health, and Safety compliance across all project operations
- Conduct and document daily EHS inspections and audits
- Lead site-specific safety orientations and ongoing training initiatives
- Participate in and oversee Daily Hazard Analysis (DHA) processes
- Investigate incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions
- Coordinate and monitor crane, rigging, and steel erection activities
- Ensure subcontractor compliance with all project EHS requirements
- Partner with project leadership to promote an injury-free workplace
- Track, analyze, and report leading and lagging safety indicators
- Review and assist with development of site-specific safety procedures and plans
- Mentor field personnel and reinforce positive safety engagement throughout the project
- Serve as liaison between project teams, client representatives, and safety leadership
Minimum Requirements
- 5 years of construction EHS experience in a lead or management role
- Steel erection and large commercial construction experience highly preferred
- OSHA 30 required
- OSHA 510, CHST, STSC, ASP, GSP, CSP, or equivalent credentials preferred
- Some college education or degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Construction Management, or related field preferred
- Strong understanding of construction safety regulations and field implementation
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and digital safety management platforms
- Strong communication, leadership, and field coordination skills
- Ability to work night shift in an active construction environment
