Dates: May 20 – August 20 (flexible based on academic calendars)

Compensation: $21–$23/hour

From the convertible strap to the signature hardware, every component is designed to be aesthetically refined and intuitively functional. Each bag is made by hand outside Florence with considered details and thoughtful design.
About the Role
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Design & Product Development Intern to support our team across handbags, small leather goods (SLGs), belts, and home categories. This role is ideal for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, design-driven environment with exposure to the full product lifecycle—from concept through production.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct trend and competitive research across handbags, accessories, and home
- Support the design team in creating CADs and line review materials
- Execute simple tech packs and assist with proto corrections under team guidance
- Assist with organizing and maintaining sample inventory (protos, SMS, materials)
- Maintain and update leather, trim, and color libraries
- Create presentation boards and charts for design and product development
- Coordinate shipping and receiving between the NY office and international vendors (including Italy)
- Support product repair processes in collaboration with production and merchandising teams
- Assist with inventory tracking, sample logs, and internal systems organization
- Provide general support to the Design & PD team as needed
Qualifications
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proactive, self-starter mindset
- Basic understanding of handbag construction and materials
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator; familiarity with Excel required
- Interest in product development, accessories, and materials
