Reports To: Director of Development & Strategy 

Category: Full-Time Salary Exempt

Location: Remote (some travel required) 


Job Summary:

Save the Storks is seeking a passionate and people-centered Donor Engagement Officer to join our Development Team. This key role is responsible for building and deepening relationships with individual donors and corporate supporters through intentional, proactive communication and engagement strategies. If you love connecting with people, believe in the power of relational fundraising, and aren’t afraid to make the ask, we want to meet you. 


Desired Qualifications:

  • 2 years of experience in nonprofit development, fundraising, or donor relations preferred.  
  • Experience in identifying and securing sponsorships from companies and business owners. 
  • Passion for relational outreach, calling and connecting with donors is essential.  
  • Ability and confidence to make direct donation and sponsorship asks. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Great time management skills and a passion for details and timelines. 
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and organized. 
  • Comfortable with CRM systems (preferably Salesforce & Cvent) and remote collaboration tools. 


Physical and Other Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times
  • Travel required up to 30% of the year
