This is an exciting opportunity for a technically skilled, customer-focused professional who thrives in fast-paced environments, enjoys solving complex problems, and is passionate about cutting-edge lighting control and automation technology.

As a Field Service Engineer, you will be the face of SAVE Electronics at customer sites, responsible for commissioning, maintaining, and optimizing advanced Lutron lighting systems for national hospitality and commercial clients such as Omni Hotels, Hilton, Marriott, LA Fitness International, Maggiano’s, PF Chang’s, Chilis and others. You will play a key role in delivering exceptional service and ensuring consistent, reliable lighting performance that reflects each brand’s unique ambiance and design intent.


Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver exceptional customer service through on-site technical support, system commissioning, and maintenance of Lutron commercial lighting control systems.
  • Perform system programming, troubleshooting, and repair following SAVE’s field service protocols and documentation standards.
  • Coordinate and manage site activities with electrical contractors, general contractors, and facility managers to ensure timely, accurate, and efficient installation and integration.
  • Operate independently across diverse commercial and hospitality job sites while maintaining professionalism, adaptability, and strong situational awareness.
  • Provide end-user training on system operation and controls while identifying opportunities for continuous improvement or upgrades.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on both current and legacy Lutron systems (Athena, myRoom, Quantum, etc.), providing technical guidance and solutions.
  • Collaborate closely with SAVE’s Design, Project Management, and Operations teams to drive consistent execution, process improvement, and customer satisfaction.
  • Document all service activities accurately, maintain as-built system information, and ensure timely submission of expense reports and field documentation.


Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
  • 3–5 years of hands-on experience in electrical, controls, or low-voltage systems required.
  • Proven ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and network schematics.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word) and basic networking principles (IP addressing, router/switch configuration).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interface professionally with clients, contractors, and internal teams.
  • Strong problem-solving mindset and technical curiosity; ability to work methodically under pressure.
  • Willingness to travel up to 60% of the time (including occasional overnights).
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
  • Must pass background and drug screening as required per project or client.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
