The Lawn Care team are the reason our customers brag about their thick, green, lush lawns. Specialists provide organic, hybrid, integrated, and all-nutrient lawn care services, as well as seeding and aeration services. As subject matter advisers in all things lawn, they use their expertise to perform soil analysis, and control insects, diseases, and unsightly weeds. Purpose of the Role:
The Lawn Care Lead is involved in all aspects of the management of pest, disease, and cultural conditions for the Turf on a client’s landscape as well as being responsible for the day-to-day operations of the lawn Team, overseeing a team of specialists. Focus on exceeding client expectations and achieving key performance indicators while balancing safety, quality and production.
Essential Functions of the Role:
- Complete the duties of a Lawn Care Master Applicator (L4) and ensure the proper timing and compliance related to treatments and products.
- Direct learning activities for team members based on Lawn Care Master Trainer qualifications.
- Monitor, diagnose and treat pest, disease, physical, and cultural conditions associated with turf on designated client properties.
- Converse with clients in a professional manner to provide additional information, answer questions and ensure targeted solutions are successful.
- Complete reports and provide feedback to the responsible Arborist detailing: problems cited, actions taken, and results achieved,
- Load, handle, mix and apply safely all technical materials per SavATree procedures and label directions accordingly to meet all local, state, and Federal regulations.
- Drive company vehicles, navigate using maps and GPS for routes and operate equipment safely.
- Review key performance indicators (KPIs) and specific Prodeo reports including Done-To-Do, Services to Exclude and Prioritize, and Routing Template.
- Maintain proper inventories of materials and supplies needed for daily operation Lawn services in accordance with Lean Sigma principles.
- Monitor Lawn fleet and equipment to ensure that specialists have the necessary tools to fulfill services for clients. Ensure that Lawn equipment and vehicles are properly repaired, maintained and cleaned
- Participate in sales activities: i.e winter season sales, customer renewals, support arborists in closing sales and develop program recommendations
- Ensure compliance with appropriate regulatory agencies by monitoring and enforcing all safety regulations and policies for all Lawn specialists.
- Understand and implement spill containment and clean-up procedure including following safety protocols for reporting any accidents and follow up accordingly for root cause analysis and shared learning opportunities.
- Assist Routing department with scheduling Lawn services.
- Hold weekly Lawn meeting with specialists to review production, business goals, safety, quality, customer service, provide technical training, answer questions and address issues/concerns.
- Ensure that services and customer satisfaction meet and/or exceed company standards by monitoring and ensuring quality on all Lawn Care contracted services.
- Complete audit activities as required.

External: Clients, Vendors
Qualifications for this Role:
- Obtain and possess current pesticide certifications as required by governing state’s laws.
- Possess a valid driver’s license to operate motor vehicle in governing state. CDL (Commercial drivers license) is a plus.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in pesticide application.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Great ‘can-do’ attitude and willingness to receive personal feedback and coach others.
- Ability to perform maintenance work for small tool and equipment repair.
- Must be able to fulfill essential job functions in a consistent state of alertness and safe manner.

Physical Demands:
Physical demands of field work related to Lawn Care. The physical environment requires working both inside and outside in all weather conditions including heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid on commercial and residential landscapes. Activities include balance, bending, climbing, and kneeling. Ability to lift 50 pounds. Frequently required to use personal protective equipment to prevent exposure to hazardous materials. Handling of pesticides and herbicides. Must be able to sit and navigate/use computer system. May be requested to work overtime and weekends for special program events based on business needs.
