Savaria is a global leader in accessibility and patient care products, designing and building wheelchair lifts, stairlifts, elevators for home and commercial applications, medical beds, therapeutic surfaces, ceiling track lifts and patient slings.

Position Summary

We are looking for a motivated, detail oriented, reliable and independent candidate to join our team as a Project Manager in New England. This role will report to the Operations Manager and will play a key role in project management, utilizing organizational skills, adhering to timelines, acquiring documentation for releases to production, reviewing plans and construction documents for accuracy, performing site coordination, meetings with builders, architects, homeowners, and other miscellaneous tasks. The current available territory is south of Boston, Western MA, and RI but is subject to change.

Work Location

This position is 100% remote.

Transportation

Must be willing to provide their own vehicle (car allowance and gas card is provided by company).

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage assigned lift/elevator projects from project creation to inspection.
  • Collaborate with our salesman and site contractors, architects, etc. regarding design work.
  • Organize and track all required documents to release lifts/elevators into fabrication.
  • Perform pre-construction coordination meetings, frame checks and final site visits.
  • Work toward scheduling and assigning installation dates.
  • Ensure field crews are set up for success on installation start.
  • Work toward project completion and inspection readiness.
  • Collaborate with Operations Manager regarding scheduling and branch directives.
  • Order parts/door frame from our factory or 3 rd party vendors when applicable.
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used for each project.
  • Follow all OSHA, Industry and Company safety guidelines.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum of a HS diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and retain a clean motor vehicle report.
  • Basic computer skills – Microsoft office suite.

Experience

  • Experience in the construction industry.
  • Experience working with contractors preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge of construction related safety procedures is a positive with OSHA 10 preferred but not required at time of hire.

Key Skills

  • Using a tape measure and identifying plumb, square, level surfaces.
  • Ability to read and understand construction plans or willingness to learn.
  • Comfortable sketching conditions.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good organizational skills.

Salary : $80,000 - $85,000
