The Elevator Mechanic is responsible for installing, repairing and maintaining elevators in commercial and residential buildings. In addition, they will inspect elevator systems and identify issues and troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and electrical problems. This position must be licensed in one of the following states: MA, NH, CT, ME OR VT.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Ensure all installation work is completed per job requirements
- Ensure all safety procedures are followed during installation
- Read and interpret schematics and blueprints
- Provide excellent customer service while on-site
- Conduct field service visits to ensure elevator functionality
- Perform regular maintenance tasks to keep elevators in optimal condition
- Ensures jobsite is neat and clean
- Works with inspectors to ensure work passes all required inspections
- All mechanics may be required to supervise apprentices
- Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to interact with customers on a positive basis
- Reliable and punctual
- Ability to multi-task
- Organized and structured
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, dimensional drawings/specifications and procedural manuals. Ability to write reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
- High School diploma or GED
- Minimum of 4 years of experience installing residential elevators, wheelchair lifts and LULA elevators
- Knowledge of ASME A17.1 and A18.1
- Ability to read and understand installation blueprints and drawings including all electrical and electronic schematics and knowledge with a focus on industrial mechanics
- Certified Elevator Mechanic License in at least one of the following states: MA, NH, CT, ME OR VT
- Basic skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- The employee must be able to lift heavy loads
- This position works in an environment with moderate noise levels.
- Some overnight travel and must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record - Company provides company vehicle
