What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Financial Planner position at Savant?
Shape Ideal Futures. Lead with Expertise. Deliver with Heart.
At Savant, we believe financial planning is more than numbers — it’s a chance to help clients see their wealth from every angle so they can make wise decisions with confidence. If you’re an experienced CFP® professional who thrives on complexity, values deep client relationships, and is energized by both strategy and service, our Senior Planner opportunity may be your next ideal future.
In this role, you’ll partner closely with Advisors and Planning Strategists to lead sophisticated planning engagements across all 10 key areas of financial planning. You’ll guide high-net-worth clients, translate complex data into meaningful strategies, elevate the client experience, and help develop the next generation of planners.
And you’ll do it all inside a culture built on Excellence, Integrity, Lifelong Learning, Respect, Growth, and Servant Leadership — where collaboration is natural, curiosity is encouraged, and your expertise makes a tangible impact.
The Senior Financial Planner can expect to focus in the following areas:
-
Lead advanced financial planning across retirement, education, income tax, investments, estate, business and charitable planning, insurance, health & wellness, and debt management.

-
Support advisors and PCG teams, reviewing planning work, coordinating cases, and contributing your subject-matter expertise.
-
Mentor junior planners and elevate team learning through coaching, quality control, and leading firmwide planning initiatives.
-
Take ownership of Navigator client onboarding, ensuring seamless transitions and a confident first step into Savant’s planning journey.
-
Bring emotional intelligence, collaboration, and proactive problem-solving to a variety of client scenarios and team projects.
