The expected base salary range for this role nationally is $61,000 - $89,000. However, final base pay will be carefully determined based on several factors, including responsibilities, skills, relevant experience, geographic location, and market conditions. Additionally, this role may be eligible for other forms of compensation and benefits.

The Financial Planning Associate can expect to focus in the following areas:
Data & Analysis
- Gather, organize, and synthesize client financial information including tax returns, investment statements, insurance policies, and estate planning documents.
- Prepare and deliver a wide variety of analyses, such as:
- Tax projections
- Social Security optimization
- Insurance evaluations
- Stock option/executive compensation modeling
- Roth conversion scenarios
- Pension and retirement income analyses
- Develop retirement plans and propose alternative strategies using advanced financial planning software.
- Review analysis outputs for accuracy, completeness, and alignment with planning goals.
- Assist Planners, Strategists, and Advisors in creating comprehensive financial plans.
- Participate in special research projects to support advisory teams.
- Contribute to documenting and improving workflows, policies, and procedures across the planning function.
- Support planning initiatives across departments and contribute to a team-first culture.
- Step in to help peers and other departments as needed.
- Progress intentionally along the Planning Team career path with ongoing learning and mentorship.
- Perform additional duties as needed to support Savant’s integrated planning approach.
- This position has the flexibility to be based out of our Birmingham, AL or Middleton, WI offices.
- To support our collaborative, relationship-driven culture, Financial Planning Associates are expected to work in the office at least three days per week as part of our hybrid work model.
- Typical working hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm CT, but with our offices being coast to coast, there may be flexibility based on business needs.
The Financial Planning Associate position typically requires the following qualifications:
Must Have
- A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field; CFP Board Registered program preferred.
- 0-3 years of experience in financial planning or related work.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Excellent communication and listening skills.
- A “client first” mindset and passion for pursuing a career in wealth management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and comfort learning financial planning software.
- Series 65 (or willingness to obtain within 3-6 months).
- CFP® certification or active progress toward CFP® requirements.
