About Us

Savant Metals is an architectural metal fabrication company specializing in custom metal products for commercial construction projects. We are looking for a dependable, motivated shop fabricator or fabricator helper to join our team in Newark, NJ.

Job Responsibilities

• Fabricate architectural skylights and metal frames.
• Build metal railings and custom metal assemblies.
• Assemble aluminum storefront frames and components.
• Perform sheet metal cutting, bending, fitting, and assembly.
• Read shop drawings and follow fabrication details.
• Measure materials and parts accurately using tape measures and other measuring tools.
• Assist with preparing materials and assembling finished products.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow shop safety procedures and instructions.

Qualifications

• Metal fabrication or construction experience preferred.
• Experience with aluminum storefronts, skylights, railings, or architectural sheet metal is a plus.
• Ability to read measurements and follow drawings.
• Comfortable using hand tools and power tools.
• Welding, brake operation, or CNC experience is a plus but not required for the helper position.
• Reliable, punctual, detail-oriented, and willing to learn.
• Able to work on-site in Newark, NJ.

Compensation and Benefits

• $18–$25 per hour, depending on experience and skill level.
• Full-time position.
