Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site position located in Savannah, GA. The Vice President for Student Affairs will oversee all aspects of student services, including admissions, registration, counseling, career services, student activities, and financial aid. This role will focus on fostering student success, developing and implementing strategic initiatives, and ensuring compliance with applicable policies and regulations. Other responsibilities include supervising departmental staff, representing the institution at community and professional events, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to enhance student engagement and retention.


Qualifications

  • Leadership and Management Skills: Proven ability to lead and inspire diverse teams, strategic planning, decision-making, and problem-solving capabilities
  • Student Affairs Expertise: Knowledge of student support services, admissions processes, financial aid, career counseling, and student engagement strategies
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Strong written and verbal communication, relationship-building, and ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders
  • Analytical and Technical Skills: Data-informed decision-making, program evaluation, and proficiency with modern student information systems
  • Experience in higher education administration, with a background in student affairs or related fields
  • Master’s degree in Student Affairs, Education, Leadership, or a related discipline is required; a Doctorate is preferred
  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and fostering student success
  • Familiarity with technical and community college environments is a plus
