The Opportunity:
We are currently seeking Staff Security to join our team. The Security Officer maintains a safe and secure environment for our residents by actively monitoring the premises, including patrolling a variety of locations. They preserve order while enforcing regulations and directives for a resident site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area.
What You’ll Do:
Create a Secure Environment:
- You will provide a highly visible status to residents and potential intruders to foster a sense of safety.
- Operate wireless communications equipment between the Security Guard and the office.
- Observe video monitors. Patrol hallways, buildings, and parking lots to ensure it is well lit and resident vehicles are locked.
- Determine that no unauthorized vehicles are present.
- Ensure that all doors are secured and locked in the evening.
- Respond personally to the location to satisfy the needs of the residents and personnel.
- Adhere to established safety procedures. Maintains a current list of emergency numbers.
- Keep a record of residents entering and leaving the premises after the front doors are locked.
- Answer incoming phone lines when the office is closed.
- Maintain confidentiality of resident and community information.
- In the event of an emergency, assist local emergency personnel within the facility as needed.
- Attend all required training, in-services, and staff meetings.

- Knowledge of legal requirements for security guard position required.
- Make independent and good judgment decisions within proper policy and procedures.

- Ability to react calmly and confidently under pressure and in unexpected situations.
