Speech Language Pathologist Positions Available with Savannah Speech & Hearing
Shift: Part-time and Full-time Opportunities, Mon-Fri, Days
Summary: We are looking for skilled Speech Pathologists to provide quality care for our clients and families. The speech pathologist will perform screenings, assess patient conditions, and design and implement treatment plans. We are seeking a therapist who is caring, adaptable, analytical, and resourceful, with knowledge of speech-related conditions and therapies, and a willingness to alter treatment plans if needed, to better suit the individual needs of our diverse patient population in Savannah, Pooler and our surrounding areas. Fluency in Spanish would be ideal, though it is not required.
Responsibilities: Diagnosing, treating, and preventing speech, language, and swallowing disorders. Creating treatment and therapy plans to suit the individualized needs of patients of all ages. Performing screenings and standardized evaluations for all ages and communication needs. Educating patients and family members about speech disorders and causes, including disabilities and traumatic events. Keeping detailed records relating to patient conditions, care plans, therapies, and progress. Reporting progress and current status to our Program Director, Executive Director as well as family members, teachers, or medical professionals as needed.
Requirements: Effective clinical problem-solving skills to include but not limited to: identify and prioritize issues in a responsive manner, develop sound and innovative action plans, execute action plans on a timely basis, and ensure appropriate results. Being a strong team player. Strong verbal & written communication skills. Ability to respect and build strong relationships with a diverse population. Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend in English: instructions, correspondence, charts, memos, and reports. Ability to work in a fast-paced, productive work environment
Qualifications: Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology Certificate of Clinical Competence in accordance with the requirements of the American Speech Language Hearing Association. Current licensing by the State of Georgia, or willingness to immediately attain.
