Chief of Staff
San Mateo, CA | On-site | $160,000–$200,000 20% Bonus Equity (flexible for exceptional candidates)
We’re partnering with a venture-backed, seed-stage technology company that’s transforming business risk through AI and automation.
Working directly with the CEO, you’ll play a pivotal role in driving strategy, operations and execution across the business. This is a high-impact, highly visible role offering exceptional exposure across product, go-to-market, partnerships, fundraising and business operations.
What You’ll Do
- Partner with the CEO on strategic initiatives
- Lead cross-functional projects from concept to execution
- Drive operational excellence and KPI tracking
- Improve communication, prioritisation and business performance
- Support customer pilots, partnerships and company growth
About You
- 6 years’ plus experience in consulting, strategy, operations or a high-growth startups
- Prior co-founder, founding team member, or Chief of Staff at a seed-to-Series B startup
- Education - Bachelor's Degree from a top university
- MBA from a top program
- AI-native workflow — actively uses AI tools to automate and augment day-to-day work
- Results driven— proactively identifies what needs doing and acts without waiting for direction; makes assertions not just asks questions
- Owned challenging projects end to end with measurable outcomes
- Can deliver specific individual contribution, not team-level
- MBB consulting followed by a tech/start-up role is highly desirable
- Proven track record of owning complex projects with measurable results
- Highly analytical with exceptional problem-solving skills
- Proactive, resourceful and thrives with ownership
