The Member Service Representative will provide excellent service to all members.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Greets members in a courteous and professional manner.
- Provide account information by phone or in person. Resolve issues and professionally handle the members’ daily needs.
- Assist members with teller financial transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and payments.
- Evaluates checks to verify endorsements, dates, identification of persons receiving payments, bank names, and overall legality of the documents.
- Daily balancing of all currency and checks in cash drawers and compare totals to computer generated proof sheet. Research and resolve discrepancies.
- Proficient in Certificate and IRA transactions, line of credit advances, open/close accounts, and any other member service requests received from members.
- Enters transactions in bank’s recordkeeping system, recording all transactions and producing member receipts.
- Identifies and capitalizes on opportunities to promote new credit union products and services.
- Establishes and supports member usage of electronic service (on-line banking and mobile app)
- Maintains a work area that ensures the safety of all negotiables and confidential records.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Resume must be up to date.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Trustworthiness and the ability to act with integrity.
- Thorough understanding of customer service.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- credit union or banking experience necessary
- Cash handling experience, member service skills, supplemented by previous experience working directly with the public is requested.
