As a Marketplace Custodian, you are responsible for managing the River Street Marketplace’s maintenance, aesthetic, and custodial needs. This includes, but is not limited to common areas, associated property and surrounding areas.

As a Marketplace Custodian, you are responsible for managing the River Street Marketplace’s maintenance, aesthetic, and custodial needs. This includes, but is not limited to common areas, associated property and surrounding areas.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform some preventative maintenance repairs.
- Basic understanding of construction practices.
- Collaborate with management to review and solve open maintenance issues.
- Evaluate equipment and facilities for cleanliness and scheduled maintenance.
- Ensure maintenance and cleanliness of the exterior areas of the properties including grounds, parking lot and landscape (light landscaping, weeding, and watering plants, pressure washing buildings and sidewalks)
- Perform daily custodial/janitorial duties (Check and dump trash as necessary / bins should be emptied daily, cleaning floors and restrooms).
- Maintain building security | opening buildings and property in preparation for daily activities/ securing buildings and property at end of workday.
- Supports vendors when necessary.
- Securing boats and taking payment for visiting vessels. Watching for undesired vessels.
- Climbing working from ladders, bending and stooping, lifting and carrying items weighing up to 50lbs.
- Other duties as assigned by the manager.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid state driver’s license
- Demonstrated knowledge of building maintenance and operations functions, building codes and related regulations.
- Must be able to frequently stand up and move about the facility.
- Exposure to inclement weather.
