Radiological Protection personnel ensure safety by monitoring, evaluating, and controlling radiation hazards in various environments. They use specialized equipment to detect and measure radiation levels, implement safety protocols to minimize exposure risks, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Additionally, they may provide training to personnel on radiation safety procedures and contribute to emergency response plans related to radiological incidents.

Radiological Protection management establish and execute the radiological protection operations to ensure compliance with federal, state and site requirements. They provide management direction and leadership to professional and nonexempt employees in performance of complex radiological operations. They provide leadership to ensure a safety culture through communications about safety and radiological controls to employees in assigned facilities and projects. They coordinate radiological protection program execution through regular interactions with facility line management, customers, and oversight organizations.

Required Qualifications
Equivalencies to experience and education requirements will be considered.
Experienced RP FLM or Health Physics candidate with broad site level knowledge and management experience. Experienced in developing Radiological Work Permits. Experienced in reviewing and approving radiological work control documents and hazard analysis process

SRNS is required by DOE to conduct a pre-employment drug & alcohol test and background review that includes checks of personal references, credit, criminal records, and employment history, and education verifications. Positions with SRNS may require applicants to obtain and maintain a DOE L or Q-level security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship.
