Some Typical Duties & Responsibilities Include
The Pit Production Nuclear Enterprise Assurance (PPNEA) Manager will lead efforts to develop, implement, and maintain the PPNEA program ensuring all security program requirements are realized, complying with standards such as SD 452.4-1.
- Develop and sustain an internal NEA program to protect against adversarial risks, ensuring all security program requirements are met as outlined in SD 452.4-1.
- Train and advise NEA staff and facility employees on NEA principles and practices.
- Develop strategic and policy documents, including organizational growth plans for the NEA program.
- Provide expert technical guidance and leadership by assessing complex technical, organizational, and strategic issues, in partnership with internal and external NSE stakeholders.
- Interface with NNSA HQ and SRFO officials, Program Office leadership, and NSE leadership at the various Labs, Plants and Sites.
- Act as a representative for PPOP in technical issues to both internal and external customers, managing necessary correspondence with NNSA and other external agencies.
- Manage programmatic operations including planning, resource allocation, budgeting, and mentoring assigned employees.
- Oversee project-related personnel, evaluate regulatory requirements, and engage with vendors and off-site laboratories to support technical investigations.
- Eight or more years of experience (YOE) as an individual contributor in one or more of the roles managed, OR Bachelor's Degree in an engineering field plus five or more years of experience (YOE) in one or more of the roles managed, OR Master's Degree in a relevant field plus three or more year of experience (YOE) in one or more of the roles managed
- Equivalencies to experience and education requirements will be considered
- Bachelor’s degree in a physical science, engineering field (e.g., chemistry, physics, nuclear, electrical, mechanical engineering), cybersecurity or related field with 15 to 20 years of experience in high-consequence security related assignments.
- An advanced degree such as a Master’s or Ph.D. can reduce the years of required experience proportionally
- Extensive knowledge of NEA program elements, including countersubversion risks, cybersecurity principles, Supply Chain Risk Management, NIST publications, Operational Technology Assessments, and various security measures.
- Advanced knowledge in fields such as analytical chemistry, radiochemistry, non-destructive examination techniques, and applicable emerging technologies
- Extensive knowledge of the intelligence community, collecting, disseminating, analytics, OSINT and counterintelligence principals, practices and products. Experience working with the Adversarial mindset or Red Teams.
