Part-Time Math, Science, and SAT/ACT Tutor
Savannah Educational Consultants is seeking qualified, enthusiastic tutors to work with middle and high school students in the Savannah and surrounding areas.
Position Overview
We are looking for tutors who can provide individualized instruction in one or more of the following areas:
- SAT Preparation
- ACT Preparation
- Mathematics (Pre-Algebra through Calculus)
- Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Environmental Science)
- Academic Support and Study Skills
This is a flexible, part-time position ideal for teachers, retired educators, graduate students, college professors, or professionals with strong academic backgrounds.
Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one and small-group tutoring sessions
- Develop personalized instructional plans based on student needs
- Track student progress and communicate with families when appropriate
- Assist students in building confidence, organization, and effective study habits
- Prepare students for standardized tests and academic success
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred
- Strong content knowledge in mathematics, science, and/or standardized test preparation
- Teaching, tutoring, or educational experience preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to work afternoons, evenings, and/or weekends
