Duties
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on HVAC systems, refrigeration units, kitchen equipment, and mechanical systems to prevent breakdowns and extend equipment lifespan.
- Diagnose issues using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools; execute repairs efficiently to minimize downtime.
- Install new appliances and mechanical equipment following manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
- Conduct HVAC & appliance repairs including air conditioning units, refrigeration systems, and other mechanical devices to ensure optimal operation.
- Operate company vehicles safely for on-site service calls or equipment transportation as needed.
- Lead maintenance projects or collaborate with team members to complete complex repairs or installations.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, parts used, and system updates for compliance and future reference.
Experience
- Proven experience as a service technician with a strong background in appliance repair, HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/Refrigeration), and mechanical systems repair.
- Skilled in reading schematics, technical manuals, and electrical diagrams to troubleshoot issues accurately.
- Hands-on experience with appliance installation, kitchen equipment maintenance, air conditioning systems, and refrigeration units.
- Knowledge of maintenance operations including repair and replacement of mechanical components within construction or industrial environments.
- Demonstrated ability to operate equipment repair tools safely and efficiently; familiarity with maintenance, repair & operations (MRO) practices is highly valued.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly with team members and clients about technical issues and solutions.
- Leadership qualities that enable guiding junior technicians or managing small maintenance projects effectively.
