The Role
We are seeking infant teachers who are eager to embrace our distinctive pedagogical approach and demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning and professional development. Proficiency in French, Chinese, Spanish, and/or Russian would be an asset. Ideal candidates will possess a minimum of one year of teaching experience and be open to pedagogical innovation. Candidates should also be willing to be mobile, stand for extended periods, and lift heavy loads, in line with our teaching philosophy.
Responsibilities
Implement a dynamic curriculum that stimulates curiosity and creativity, incorporating elements of language, literacy, cognitive, emotional, social, and physical growth.
Maintain a comprehensive classroom portfolio, documenting learning experiences and observations in alignment with Savanna's standards.
Foster a safe and nurturing environment conducive to children's development, in accordance with state regulations and our teaching philosophy.
Collaborate closely with families to support the holistic growth and development of children, conducting regular conferences.
Demonstrate enthusiasm, passion for learning, and a collaborative spirit within the team, contributing to a positive and supportive work environment.
Teaching staff will be required to be in an outdoor environment in all types of weather conditions.
Other duties may also be assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development, or equivalent education and courses in education and child development.
Minimum 1 year of teaching experience with infants.
Desired Qualifications:
Strong language command of French, Mandarin Chinese, Russian, or Spanish.
Reggio Emilia/Waldorf Training.
Experience in a university laboratory school is desirable.
Montessori certification or background.
License/Certification:
CPR Certification (Preferred)
Child Development Associate Certification

Base Salary: $19 - $21 per hour depending on experience.
