Savanna provides play & nature-based learning for kids ages 0-5 years old combined with a parent's workspace all under one roof. The Director, with support from the, directs, manages, monitors and maintains control over all aspects of our operations. The Director is responsible for hiring and retention of faculty and staff, as well as oversees the enrollment process and campus facilities. The candidate will work closely with the faculty to guide the curriculum. The Director holds a strong and clear vision of the organization’s purpose statement and how to actualize the school’s goals and objectives as outlined in our Strategic Plan. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Effectively operate and manage all aspects of the school, including business management, education and continual learning and development, Savanna environment, and marketing and communications
- Growing team- hiring, training and evaluating team members
- Actively develop and maintain positive staff relationships and parent partnerships and manage all resources effectively
- Organize and conduct virtual staff meetings & workshops
- Follow and enforce all rules and regulations pertaining to the health, safety, and care of children
- Participate in budget planning and monitoring of expenses.
Minimum Qualifications/Requirements
- A Master Degree or Bachelors's in a related field (ie. Early Childhood Education, Educational Leadership/Administration)
- Experience in leadership, administration, supervision, mentorship
- Four (4) years of experience working with children ages 3 months-6 years old in a licensed quality child care program
- REQUIRED 3 Years in Reggio Emilia/Waldorf
- Qualify for Program Director Permit per the Texas Commission of Teacher Credentialing
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Constantly twist/bend/stoop/squat
- Frequently stand/walk, grasp lightly/fine manipulation, perform desk-based computer tasks, lift/carry/push/pull objects that weigh up to 40 pounds
- Requires good visual and auditory acuity
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
