As an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic, you will help keep our equipment running safely and efficiently. You will repair, install, and maintain different types of industrial and mobile equipment to reduce downtime. You will also work closely with the Maintenance Supervisor and other team members, follow safety rules, and help support daily operations in the facility.
What You Will Be Doing
- Perform minor and major repairs on mobile heavy equipment, conveyors, tractors, and rotating equipment.
- Complete scheduled preventative maintenance on machinery and vehicles.
- Assist with other mechanical repairs around the facility when needed.
- Keep the shop clean and organized while helping maintain parts inventory.
- Learn and work with the Maintenance Supervisor to use the CMMS system for tracking repairs and maintenance.
- Make sure all work follows company rules and regulatory safety requirements.
- Follow proper safety procedures, maintenance steps, and operating guidelines.
- Help write or update maintenance procedures when needed.
- Support other areas of the operation if requested by the Maintenance Supervisor, even if outside typical mechanic duties.
- Communicate equipment issues clearly to team members, supervisors, and other internal contacts.
- Troubleshoot and solve mechanical and technical problems.
- Keep accurate records of repairs, inspections, and maintenance work.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Prior experience as a heavy equipment mechanic, industrial or diesel mechanic required.
- Experience in welding, fabrication, millwright, boilermaker preferred.
- Certifications preferred but not required.
- Ability to identify, diagnose, and troubleshoot repairs,
- Strong focus on safety and environmental awareness.
- Ability to read, write, and understand English and follow verbal or written instructions.
- Welding experience is a plus.
- Willingness to perform a large amount of preventative maintenance.
- Willing to help with any tasks assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor.
- Experience using a CMMS system is helpful.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well with supervisors, vendors, and team members.
- Self‑starter who can work independently and follow company goals and policies.

- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a TWIC card.
- Ability to meet pre-employment screening requirements including but not limited to criminal history background check, MVR, drug & alcohol testing, re
- At least 5 years of industrial or production maintenance experience preferred.
- Experience with mechanics, conveyor systems, pneumatics, welding, metal fabrication, and building maintenance.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment efficiently.
- Basic computer skills for logging maintenance work.
- Understanding of OSHA rules and safe work practices.
- English communication required; Spanish is a plus.
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform physical tasks such as bending, kneeling, crawling, climbing, and working from ladders.
- Standing for long periods throughout the day.
- Navigating uneven ground, ladders, racks, and high places.
- Working in an industrial environment with noise, dust, machinery, and outdoor weather conditions.
- Must work safely in all conditions and comply with strict OSHA and state regulations.
