Duties
- Monitor entrances and exits to authorize authorized personnel, visitors, and contractors, ensuring proper identification and access control
- Conduct regular surveillance using CCTV systems to observe activity around the premises and detect suspicious behavior
- Perform routine patrols of the facility, including indoor and outdoor areas, to identify potential security risks or hazards
- Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies by coordinating with law enforcement or emergency services as needed
- Manage conflict situations with professionalism and tact, de-escalating disputes and maintaining order
- Maintain detailed logs of security activities, incidents, and observations for reporting purposes
- Assist with loss prevention efforts by identifying theft or vandalism and implementing preventative measures
Qualifications
- Prior experience in security, law enforcement, military service, or related fields is highly desirable
- Knowledge of surveillance systems such as CCTV and familiarity with loss prevention techniques
- Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure
- Ability to perform surveillance duties effectively while maintaining high levels of alertness for extended periods
- Physical fitness to stand, walk, or patrol for long durations as required
- Excellent communication skills with a professional demeanor
