We are seeking a polished, high-performing Front Desk Assistant to join our upscale salon team. This role is designed for someone who not only excels in hospitality, but has clear aspirations to grow into business management within the beauty industry.
This is not an entry-level role as we are looking for someone who thrives in a structured, fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering an exceptional client experience.
Key Responsibilities
– Engage with clients to deliver an elevated, seamless customer experience while building lasting relationships
– Manage bookings, coordinate appointments, schedules and answer phones with professionalism and efficiency
– Support front desk operations and ensure smooth daily salon flow
– Assist with product inventory tracking and ordering
– Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked front-of-house environment
– Support visual merchandising and ensure retail displays are current and client-ready
– Assist in day-to-day salon operations and team support
– Uphold and enforce a safe, sanitary, and compliant environment
– Key holder for some opening and closing shifts
General Responsibilities
– Represent Saunders & James as a brand ambassador with a positive, professional presence
– Work collaboratively with the team to uphold service standards and share knowledge
– Maintain a polished and professional appearance and demeanor at all times

Required Skills & Experience
– 1 years in a front desk, hospitality, retail, or client-facing role
– Proven record of exceptional customer service
– Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail
– Ability to multitask, prioritize, and take initiative in a fast-paced setting
– Clear, professional communication (phone, text, and email)
– Tech-savvy and comfortable with booking systems, POS, and digital tools
– Strong problem-solving skills with a calm, composed approach
– Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
